Thursday night officers were called to the apartments, and found a man who had died of an obvious gunshot wound.

Police quickly developed a suspect, Deidra Tomlin, the girlfriend of the victim. They learned the couple had argued on Monday and he was shot. Tomlin and another roommate enlisted the help of a third person to remove the body and fled the area after leaving him in a trash dumpster.

Tomlin, 39, was charged with open murder, tampering with evidence, possession of methamphetamine, concealing the death of an individual and three counts of felony firearm.
