A teenage boy from Niles on a non-motorized scooter was stuck by a pick-up truck on U.S. 12 in Cass County, earlier this month has died.

The collision happened around 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8 near the off-ramp of M-60 in Milton Township.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported on Saturday, Jan. 16, that Samuel Gonzales, 17, had died.

The case still remains under investigation.
