City of South Bend hiring new Director of Community Police Review

The City of South Bend is hiring for its Director of Community Police Review position.

The director will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing the intake and classification of any complaint against an officer of the department
  • Enhancing communications and good will between the police and residents
  • Maintaining records, confidential or otherwise, of all complaints, proceedings thereon and dispositions thereof, in the Office of the City Clerk with the clerk providing necessary administrative support

ABC 57 News reports the Director of Community Police Review works week days, from 8-5, and makes between $60,000 and $65,000 per year.
