Four people injured in crash on U.S. 31 in Fulton County

Five people were hurt in a crash in Fulton County.

The collision happened just after 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, on U.S 31 at Sweetgum Road.

The crash investigation revealed that a 43-year-old man from Macy was driving a Toyota Corolla on Sweetgum Road. The Corolla failed to yield to traffic and pulled into the path of a Nissan Sentra that was driving along U.S. 31. The Nissan, driven by a 49-year-old Indianapolis woman, struck the Corolla in the drivers’ side.

Both drivers were flown from the crash scene to a Fort Wayne hospital.

There were three passengers in the Nissan. Two boys, ages five and eight, and a female child. All three were also airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
