LaPorte County man jailed after Valentine’s Day stabbing

A man from LaPorte County is facing felony charges after he stabbed his roommate on Valentine’s Day.

Michael Brewer, 65, was arrested Sunday night and faces two counts of battery. That night, police were called to Brewer’s home on Fish Lake for a disturbance.

There, they found Brewer’s roommate, bleeding and injured.

The victim told police Brewer had stabbed and hit him.

Brewer is now in the LaPorte County Jail, being held on a $15,005 cash-only bond.
