Two people were injured in a shooting Monday morning at the Quality Inn and Suites on 11th St. in Niles.

The victims were a man and woman in their early 20s, and police say both are expected to be okay.

The man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the woman was shot in the hand.

The Michigan State Police are assisting with the investigation and anyone with more information is being asked to contact the authorities.
