St. Joseph County Metro Homicide and the South Bend Police are investigating after a 2 year-old child was found unresponsive in South Bend.

They were called Monday morning, March 1, around 8 a.m. to the 100 block of East Jennings Street on a report of a child who wasn’t breathing. Responders were unable to revive the child.

The results of an autopsy performed on Tuesday are pending to try and determine the cause of death. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers at 288-STOP, or Metro Homicide.
