A man had to be rescued after falling through the ice on Saddlebag Lake over the weekend.

Officers were called to the Cass County lake just before 3:00 Sunday afternoon where they found the man in the water holding onto the ice, and unable to get out.

Deputies, along with the Marcellus Fire Department, were able to pull the man from the water and move him to shore, where he was evaluated and let go.

The person who called 911 to report the incident had also fallen through the ice, but was able to pull himself out of the water.

Police report alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the incident.
