Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced on Wednesday that she’s increasing the state’s daily COVID vaccine goal to 100 thousand shots per day.

She doubled the state’s goal based on Michigan’s successful efforts to expand the administration of the vaccine so far.

The state has measured continued increases in the number of vaccines allocated for distribution.
