There’s a new football scholarship available at Indiana University in honor of Chris Beaty.

Beaty is the former IU football player who was fatally shot during downtown Indianapolis riots in May of 2020.

The Chris Beaty Indiana Football Scholarship was made possible by a 100-thousand-dollar gift from his mother.

The scholarship will be awarded to a football student-athlete from Indiana each year, with a preference given to students who begin their careers as walk-ons.
