4-20 show still planned for M40 Speedway

A concert planned for April 20 in Cass County is still going on.

Afroman’s 4/20 show at the M40 Speedway in Newburg Township will go on as planned Tuesday.

ABC 57 reports that the township doesn’t have any zoning guidelines, so there’s no need for an event license. The township did adopt an ordinance recently to regulate activities with 500 or more people, but capacity will be limited at the show.

The event does not have a marijuana permit, however, so patrons will not be allowed to smoke the substance at the show.
