Eight people were killed when 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole shot up the FedEx Ground facility near the Indianapolis International Airport late Thursday.

According to IMPD Deputy Chief Craig McCartt, there were at least 100 people in the facility at the time of the shooting. Many were either changing shifts or on their dinner break.

One of those people was employee Angela Warman. Warman tells WISH-TV, she saw the gunman right before he shot and killed himself.

“I walked all the way around to the sidewalk, and as I looked, I saw a man standing there with a long, black gun just shooting off like 10 to 15 rounds,” Warman said. “I ran back inside and I yelled, and I told my workers to get in the bathroom and to lock the door and to stay in there, and I held the door closed because I didn’t know where the shooter was.”

While holding the door closed, Warman spotted a gunshot victim — an older man screaming, ‘help me, I’ve been shot.’ Warman quickly brought the man inside, and the people there tried to control his bleeding.

As she left the facility, Warman saw one of the victims’ bodies splayed out across her car. She says the victims, as well as the survivors, are in desperate need of prayers.

“That’s all we need right now, is a lot of prayers,” Warman said. “FedEx, that’s what we are, we’re a family. This is something that we’re not going to be able to get over.”
