Whitmer lays out renewable energy plan for state offices

Governor Whitmer announced last week that state offices in Michigan will procure 100% renewable energy by 2025.

The governor observed Earth Day by announcing the goal, which will be made possible through partnerships with three major utilities.

Whitmer says the state has made “real, lasting progress on environmental and climate issues across the state” since her first day in office.

Combined with the existing MI Healthy Climate Plan, this effort is expected to help build “a stronger, more sustainable future for Michiganders.”
