Two men accused of voter suppression in Michigan will stand trial

The Michigan Attorney General’s office says two men accused of intimidating minority voters in Detroit and other cities will stand trial.

This follows a failed dismissal attempt by the defendants, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl of Arlington, Virginia. They’re in Wayne County on four felony counts related to election law.

They face up to 24 years for the alleged political robocall scheme designed to keep voters from participating in the 2020 election.

The Michigan Court of Appeals denied the appeal Thursday, meaning the case will go to trial. The date for the trial has not yet been set.

How did the robocalls impact only minority voters? Did they have a very specific calling list? Was the content of the call particular about race?

Or did crooked Michigan AG Dana Nessel just add that in to try and jam it through court, when in reality it was the same kind of robocalls made by both parties since robocalling was a thing…
