Police in St. Joseph, Michigan, are warning residents that somebody is placing fake parking tickets on vehicles.

The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety says they aren’t even issuing tickets in the downtown area or at any parks right now, so any sort of ticket you’d see on your windshield is phony.

The fake ticket has a QR code printed on it. It instructs the unsuspecting driver to scan the code and send money.

Once again, police say the tickets are fake, so don’t fall for the scam.

The only people allowed to scam money from parking tickets is the government, and they HATE competition!
