Granger man, 25, recovering after being struck by car on Cleveland Road

A pedestrian is recovering after being struck by a car.

It happened just after 1 a.m. on Friday, May 21, on Cleveland Road near Martin Lane.

Police say a 27-year-old South Bend man driving a Kia Forte hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the road near the curb.

The driver stayed on scene afterward.

The 25-year-old Granger man who was struck was taken to the hospital for treatment and was released.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team is still investigating. No arrests have been made, nor charges filed.
