Farmers Market season begins in Elkhart

It’s Farmer’s Market season in Elkhart.

The market takes place on Saturdays from May 29 through September 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kardzhali Park located next to the NIBCO Water and Ice Park in Downtown Elkhart.

The market features fresh produce from local growers and artisanal vendors each week and
highlights nonprofits and area businesses as well. The Awakening Realm will be offering Yoga classes each Saturday morning and live music will be a feature at several markets.

The market is a great reason for residents to get downtown and spend the morning
enjoying the scenery of the river walk and then grabbing some hand crafted items or groceries for the week.

This year the market is accepting WIC vouchers and is hoped that many residents who have this need will be able to get local produce to enjoy.

Residents can contact the Parks Department for more information at 574-295-7275 or email elkhartparks@coei.org.
