Pickle Festival returning to Berrien Springs this summer

Okay, here’s the dill: The Pickle Festival is coming back to Berrien Springs.

The festival is coming back on 4th of July weekend after a 16-year absence.

ABC 57 reports that Pickle Packers International selected Berrien Springs as the Christmas pickle capital of the world in 1995, and local officials leaned into it. The renewal of the festival has actually been in sitting in the brine for a couple of years, but COVID put those plans on the shelf.

It’ll be the first festival of the year in the area, and village officials hope it will bring visitors as the tourist season kicks into high gear.
