St. Joseph County eviction moratorium ends June 30

The eviction moratorium in St. Joseph County is set to expire in just a few weeks, but there’s still millions in funding available for those who are struggling to keep up with rent.

Through the county’s Rental Assistance Program, eligible applicants can get help with covering past-due and future rent, utilities, and internet expenses for up to a year.

According to WSBT, so far over $1.5 million has been claimed by more than 400 families to help keep them in their homes, with $6.5 million available.

Applicants still have until June 30 to apply and can do so here on the county website.
