Crash involving a turkey injures two

Two people were sent to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a crash involving a turkey.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s office says it happened around 1:30 pm on County Road 22, southwest of County Road 127.

A turkey ran into the road in front of a driver who was unable to avoid it, and slid to a stop a few feet later. Both the driver and a passenger were transported to Goshen General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
