A pedestrian was killed in a deadly crash on the northwest side of South Bend Saturday.

The Fatal Alcohol Crash Team says 48 year-old Michael Adkins of South Bend was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Lincoln Way West, just west of Bendix Drive, near the Knights Inn.

The driver involved in the crash cooperated with the police. Neither she nor her passengers were injured. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
