Grand Jury indictment for truck driver who killed a Bremen woman

A Grand Jury indictment for a Nebraska man who caused a deadly chain-reaction crash in Marshall County.

A truck driver was indicted by a Grand Jury in relation to a four car crash that killed a Breman woman.

According to court documents, back in February, Delbert Ray Polenske was driving East on US 6 when his semi truck struck the rear of a Ford Focus driven by Melia Byrer.

As a result, Byrers vehicle was pushed into oncoming traffic where it was struck by two other cars.

ABC-57 reports that Byrer died in result of her injuries.

Polenske is facing charges of reckless homicide and criminal recklessness. He is due in court in late August.
