The South Bend Motor Speedway is holding a crayon drive to benefit children in area hospitals.

It’s to benefit Kate’s Kart of Ft. Wayne, which provides crayons and coloring books to help hospitalized kids pass the time. The COVID pandemic cleaned out their stock.

The Speedway hopes to provide 1,000 boxes during the racing program on Saturday. Anyone interested in donating a box or two of crayons should visit the South Bend Speedway, or visit the Kate’s Kart website.
