No injuries reported after factory fire in Elkhart

There were no injuries when a fire broke out at a factory in Elkhart.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Hurricane Lamination near the area of Middlebury Street and County Road 15 when one of the paint booths ignited.

The booth’s fire suppression system activated and kept the fire contained to the booth until fire crews arrived.

Firefighters knocked down the fire and deemed it under control. Damage was contained to the booth and did not spread to other areas of the factory.

Once the fire was out, the business began the cleanup/process to return to normal operations.
