A Bristol man was sentenced to 35 years in prison, with 10 suspended after pleading guilty to attempted murder after shooting a Goshen man at a gas station at U.S. 20 and State Road 15.

The shooting happened in April of 2020.

Rex Horton, 35, told the judge when he entered his plea that he suffered from he suffered from depression.

During last week’s sentencing hearing, the judge heard from the victim, a 42-year-old Goshen man, who said he was shot 7 times and that, due to his injuries, he lost his business and had to sell his semi-truck.

Horton apologized for his actions. He agreed to participate in the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program at the Center for Community Justice, which will help determine what restitution he pays, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

This judge needs to be removed from his position . Where do we get these liberal
Clowns . Punishment that don’t hurt don’t work . The judge is a accomplice to the crime in my opinion .

He suffers from depression so that gives him the roght to shoot someone. Thats about as lame as it gets. The man that has lost his bussiness has to wait 35 years to decide what restitution he gets.
