Two people hurt in semi-involved chain reaction crash on Toll Road in LaGrange County

(95.3 MNC)

Two people were hurt in a chain reaction crash involving three semis and an R.V. on the Toll Road in LaGrange County.

The collision happened late Sunday afternoon, Aug. 15, at the 118 miles marker.

Upon their arrival, troopers found three semi-tractor/trailers and a RV blocking the eastbound lanes, according to the Indiana State Police.

A State Trooper applied a tourniquet to the back semi driver’s leg. He was airlifted to the hospital.

The driver of the middle semi suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The semi driver in front and the driver and passenger in an RV were not injured.

Investigators say the crash was the result of the back semi failing to stop as they approached a traffic back up due to construction.
