More patients are walking into Indiana hospitals with COVID-19 than we’ve seen in a while.

Experts, like Dr. W. Graham Carlos with Eskanazi Health in Indianapolis, say around 80-percent to 90-percent of all infections in Indiana hospital are due to the Delta variant, which coincides with a surge in Delta variant cases throughout the state.

“We are seeing enough patients that we’re calling this a fourth of a fifth surge,” Dr. Carlos said to WISH-TV. “The scary thing is that sometimes in spite of all those things we know to do people still get deathly ill.”

As of Friday, 1,433 Hoosiers are in the hospital dealing with COVID-19 symptoms. That’s the highest number of people in the hospital since early February of this year.

Kids are not immune to COVID-19, and those under 12 are not yet eligible for the vaccine. Riley Hospital for Children says they’re seeing an increase in kids with COVID-19 in their emergency room.

“Everybody is wanting and trying to do their very best to take care of all of our state so please encourage them because I think we’re in for some difficult days ahead yet again,” Carlos said.

Which is why he is encouraging you to get vaccinated for COVID in order to help keep kids safe from the virus, especially since there are no vaccines approved yet to be given to kids to protect them from COVID-19 and it’s variants.

Lies and damn lies. If the Covid test doesn’t work (CDC last month) and the new test is not available till December, how can they determine strain? Most are flu and people with pre-existing conditions.
