A 39-year-old man was found shot to death in Elkhart.

Police were called around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, to the 400 block of North Michigan Street on the report of a shooting

Officers arrived and found the victim dead.

During the course of the investigation, officers identified and located the suspect, who was detained pending further investigation.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is now conducting the investigation.
