University of Notre Dame reports a record amount of research funding

The University of Notre Dame has received more than $222 million in research funding for the 2021 fiscal year.

The figure bests the previous record by more than $42 million, and is the first time the school has surpassed the $200 million mark. The school says the funding is an indicator of increasing competitiveness of the school.

More than half of the funding came from federal sources, with 27% coming from foundations or other sponsors, and 19% from industry.

And get they can’t find any money to make school more affordable.
