The man hired as the Director of the South Bend Community Police Review Board has resigned.

Joshua Reynolds came under scrutiny after the South Bend Tribune revealed he had been suspended multiple times while working as an Indianapolis Police Officer.

City Clerk Dawn Jones refused to fire Reynolds after South Bend Mayor James Mueller and others called for it. Reynolds also refused to step down, that is, until after the Common Council voted to give control of the review board to the Mayor.

The council is set to move the salary of the board director to the Mayor, as well.

Reynolds issued his resignation back on August 20th.
