The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Sepp. 13, at Spruce Street near State Road.

The investigation determined that a motorcycle driven by a 34-year-old Dowagiac man was travlling south on Spruce St/M-51 approaching State Rd/M-62.  A vehicle also travelling south changed lanes into the motorcyclist’s lane which caused him to swerve to the side of the road, strike the curb, and crash into a street sign.  The vehicle that changed lanes fled the scene west on M-62.

Just a suggestion for law makers. If a driver who should not be driving is stopped – the car is impounded and sold. It will not matter who owns the car. Other countries do this to prevent ” friends” loaning cars to folks they know should not be driving. There is of course and exemption for cars reported stolen. Somehow, She had a car, of course without insurance.

Yeah except, I’m sure there are plenty of people that tell people they have a license, and don’t. Just because you have a physical license card doesn’t mean you have a license. Many people would have thier cars sold unfairly. Can’t do a license check on everyone.
