Lake Michigan is down 13 trillion gallons of water compared to this time last year.
According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, who measures lake levels every month to see the impact and possible trends.
WSBT reports that since August’s record levels, the level is getting closer to normal, but still well above average.
In just a year, Lake Michigan has gone down 16 inches.
That is expected to provide relief when it comes to beach erosion.
