A dog was found wet and cold Wednesday morning, said the Marshal County Humane Society.

They believe the dog was likely thrown out onto the side of the road.

The puppy has Demodex Mange and got an infection that was infested with maggots.

WNDU said that the puppy will have a long recovery but is receiving medical treatment.

The Marshall County Humane Society is thanking the community for its donations towards the puppy.
