The City of South Bend and South Bend Community School Corporation partner up to address the district’s biggest challenges.
The South Bend Common Council passed a resolution during its regular meeting on Monday.
The resolution creates a 14-person joint committee focused on improving schools with evidence-based approaches.
The Mayor and superintendent will appoint members who will look at increasing social, economic and mental health supports.
Additionally they will look at growing regional partnerships and creating equitable opportunities for the students.
