Elkhart man robbed on his front porch

A man was stabbed and robbed on his front porch over this past weekend.

Police were called out to the 300 block of Aspenwald Avenue, around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a robbery.

The Elkhart Truth reports the victim told officers he was on the porch when a man approached and asked to use the phone.

When the victim said no, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the shoulder. The suspect then took the victims phone and left the area.
