Elkhart man robbed on his front porch

A man was stabbed and robbed on his front porch over this past weekend.

Police were called out to the 300 block of Aspenwald Avenue, around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a robbery.

The Elkhart Truth reports the victim told officers he was on the porch when a man approached and asked to use the phone.

When the victim said no, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the shoulder. The suspect then took the victims phone and left the area.

The Elkhart Police are still investigating the incident.

I just looked up where Aspenwald is. This is my shocked face!

If I lived in that neighborhood, the last thing I would be doing is hanging out outside…
