Charges have been filed against a Goshen man who was involved in a crash that severely hurt two passengers.
The collision happened in September of last year on County Road 30 on the western edge of Goshen.
One of the passengers suffered a broken neck. Police arrived to find a crash crashed head-on into a tree.
The vehicle had extensive front-end damage and scorch marks from a fire.
Officers say they also noticed several empty cans of alcohol in and around the car. Three men were on scene being treated by medics, police say.
One of the passengers was taken to Goshen Hospital to be treated for injuries including a vertebrate fracture.
The Elkhart Truth reports 19-year-old Myron Hochstetler failed a field sobriety test, provided a blood sample and admitted to drinking and driving.
