Georgia man arrested in St. Joseph County Michigan on car theft-related charges

A Georgia man, 24, who police say stole one vehicle and tried to steal another was arrested in St. Joseph County in Michigan.

Sheriff’s deputies were called around 1 a.m. on Thursday morning, Oct. 7, on the report of a vehicle theft in progress in the 61000 block of Klinger Lake Road.

One of the victims followed the car, and, by doing do, helped deputies find the suspect.

It was after the suspect was in custody, deputies discovered he allegedly stole another vehicle from Centreville and crashed it in the 61000 block of Klinger Lake Road.

The suspect faces a slew of charges, including unauthorized driving away of an automobile, possession of stolen motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, driving with no license, and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
