Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County to host second COVID vaccine clinic

Saint Joseph Health System will be coming to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County on Wednesday, Oct. 13, to provide the Pfizer vaccine for all community members who wish to receive one, free of charge. They will be administering Pfizer 1st dose, 2nd dose, and boosters for those who are eligible.

The Pfizer vaccine is approved for children 12 years of age and older. All children under the age of 16 must have a parent with them. Children 16 to 18 years old may come with written parent permission if parental presence is not possible. Please bring your driver’s license/ID with you if you have one. Those who receive both doses will be eligible for raffle prizes, including gift cards to local establishments.

This is a walk-in format, so no registration or scheduling is required. Pfizer is a 2-dose vaccine that is given 3 weeks apart. Those who come for the 1st dose will receive information on when and where to receive their 2nd dose.

To be eligible to receive the booster, individuals must:

  • Have received Pfizer for their 1st and 2nd dose
  • Be six months out from their 2nd dose
  • Be in one or more of the following categories: 65 years of age or older, immunocompromised or have an underlying condition, work in a field that would be considered high risk or increase exposure, live in an area that would be considered high risk or increase exposure.

When: Wednesday, October 13 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
