Boy, 17, found shot at Marathon station on South Main Street in Elkhart

A 17-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in Elkhart.

The shooting happened around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14.

Officers were called to the Marathon gas station in the 1200 block of S. Main Street where they found the teen lying in front of the main entrance to the gas station suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Officers rendered first aid on scene, and the boy was taken to ths hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, no arrests have been made and no suspect information has been provided.
