Guilty verdict in child abuse case involving 19-month-old child

It’s a guilty verdict for a child abuse case in Pulaski County.

It was back in 2019 when a Department of Child Services caseworker saw the victim with severe bruising and facial swelling.

The 19-mont-old child was taken to the hospital.

Coltyn Toosley, 26, said he and the victim fell together and that’s what caused the bruising. But he also said he might have hit her, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

A doctor testified the victim’s facial injuries were due to multiple blunt force trauma.

Toosley will be sentenced early next month.
