Elkhart man injured in a crash on Redfield Street in Cass County

An Elkhart man was injured in a crash in Cass County.

The collision happened around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at Redfield Street and Kline Road, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

On arrival, deputies found a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Sema Reid was traveling east on Redfield when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway, and struck a tree.

Sema was transported to South Bend Memorial hospital for treatment.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident and seatbelt was worn during the crash.
