Man reports armed robbery, beating on Cleveland Avenue in Elkhart

Elkhart Police are investigating a reported armed robbery in which a man had a gun pulled on him, was beaten, and had his TV stolen.

Officers were called to a home, early Monday afternoon, in the 700 block of Cleveland Avenue on the report of a robbery.

The victim said two men approached him around 12:45 a.m. that morning as he to the back door of his home and asked him for money, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The victim said one of the men pulled out handgun and forced him into the house. he said the men then punched him and knocked him out.

He said the men didn’t leave his home until around 11 a.m. and they took a TV with them.

So far, no word of any arrests.
