A traffic stop on the Toll Road by an Indiana State Trooper resulted in the arrest of two South Bend residents and the seizure of nearly 90 grams of meth.

Just after midnight, Tuesday morning, the trooper stopped the 2004 Jeep near mile marker 90 on the toll road for a traffic violation.

One thing led to another and a search of the vehicle resulted in troopers discovering the meth, a loaded Ruger handgun, suspected cocaine and suspected marijuana wax.

The driver, 41-year-old Phillip Stewart of South Bend and his passenger, 37-year-old Jilian Mensinger, were both arrested on suspicion of dealing meth, possession of meth, marijuana, cocaine and for the handgun without a license.
