An 18-year-old man remains in critical condition after he was shot in South Bend.
Police were called to the 1100 block of North Adams Street around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, where they learned the victim was taken to Memorial Hospital.
Officers detailed one person for questioning, but that person has since been released.
Several witnesses have been interviewed, but no arrests have been made.
So far, there is no word about the circumstances that led to the shooting.

I will appreciate reporters giving readers a yearly running total of shootings. Compare numbers with years past so readers can see if crime is going up or down. The Chicago Sun and Tribune do this
