Driver, passenger arrested after traffic stop yields 21 grams of methamphetamine, mushrooms

A traffic stop lead to the arrest of a driver and passenger for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms, among other charges.

On Thursday, police in St. Joseph, Michigan conducted a traffic stop for defective equipment around 8:15 p.m. on Klinger Lake Road, near Scattered Acres Lane.

Once inside the vehicle, officers found 21-grams of methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms and a handgun.

According to ABC-57 News, the driver, a 25-year-old woman, and passenger, a 40-year-old man, both from Centerville, we arrested. They face charges of intent to deliver, carrying a concealed handgun, felony firearm and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police officers.

Police have not released their names yet.
