Elkhart police dealing with a recent rash of vehicle thefts

Car windows were smashed and items were taken. That’s what police in Elkhart were left dealing with from a recent rash of vehicle thefts.

The break-is were reported early Thursday morning, Nov. 18, at the Travelodge and Comfort Suites hotels on Northpoint Blvd. Among the items taken:  hunting equipment’s, tools, a backpack and guns.

At least six vehicles were broken into, according to The Elkhart Truth.

Video surveillance video showed a white male, 5-foot-10-inches to 6 feet tall and 175 to 200 pounds in the lot at the Travelodge. So far, there is no word of any arrest
