One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Cass County.

The collision happened around 12:40 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3. on M-60 west of Corey Lake Road in Newberg Township.

The investigation indicates that a Chevy pick-up driven by a 75-year-old man from Vandalia failed to yield right of way and turned into the path of a Chevy Beretta, driven by an 85-year-old Jones woman.

The Vandalia man’s vehicle then struck a Ford Explorer, driven by a 43-year-old Constantine resident.

The driver who police say caused the crash then left the roadway and struck some trees. The Vandalia man was extricated from his vehicle and taken to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and all drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
