If you had trouble accessing certain websites or apps Tuesday, you weren’t alone.
There was a widespread outage reported at Amazon web Services on Tuesday, impacting a variety of customer sites that rely on Amazon’s cloud computing services.
Some of those customers include government agencies, businesses, individuals and universities. Entertainment services such as Kindle, Roku and Disney Plus were also affected, as well as the McDonald’s app, Instacart and Venmo.
Amazon web Services is the biggest cloud provider in the US. Officials said Tuesday afternoon that there were no indications that the outage was nefarious in nature, but there were no details on a possible cause.
