The parents of one of the victims of the Oxford Michigan school shooting have filed a pair of lawsuits against the school district.
The suits, totaling $100 million, were filed by the parents of a 17 year-old girl who was shot in the neck during the high school shooting, and her sister, a 9th grader who was next to her at the time of the shooting.
The lawsuits are the first known civil suits connected to the shooting.
Ten students and a teacher were shot at Oxford High School on November 30th. The principal and six other staff members are named in the suit, which said the incident could have been prevented.
