On Wednesday, Dec. 8, the South Bend Police Department’s Strategic Focus Unit arrived at a residence in the 1500 block of West Fisher Street after learning an individual with several outstanding warrants would be at that location.

Following a surround and callout by the SFU, seven people exited the residence.

Jeremy Lamonte Williams was arrested for his four warrants and Possession of a Firearm Without a Permit.

Further investigation led to a search warrant of the home, leading to the recovery of a firearm, 100 pills of ecstasy and a small amount of cocaine.

As a result, another individual inside the home, Cory Williams, was arrested on drug possession charges.

The five other individuals in the home were released from custody.

Anybody who suspects criminal activity in their neighborhood should contact Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP to leave an anonymous tip.

Please remember that all persons are presumed innocent until, and unless, convicted in a court of law.
